Activision: Call of Duty: WWII er brutalt der det må

Call of Duty: WWII har som kjent tatt serien tilbake til dens røtter i andre verdenskrig, et grusomt kapittel i historiebøkene. Vi møtte Sean Soucy og Tolga Kart fra utvikler Sledgehammer Games for å snakke mer om spillet, og her er forklaringen på hvorfor de valgte andre verdenskrig:

"It's been ten years since Call of Duty has been in [...] World War 2. So we wanted to tell the story to a whole new generation of players, players who've not gotten the chance to experience some of the content that we know and love. That made it so that we went and chose some of the iconic locations - Omaha Beach, the countryside of France, the Ardenne Forest - so that we could re-tell the story in our own way to this new generation of players."

Etter at vi fikk se spillet var det tydelig at det kommer til å bli mer voldelig enn det meste annet i serien. Vi spurte om hvorfor de hadde valgt denne brutale linjen:

"Yes, while being respectful, war was brutal, and we want to show that. Again, in key locations where it really matters and where it's really impactful. And so we're constantly just kind of trying to figure out how much of it we're putting in, how much of it we're taking out. But yes, it was very intentional."
